Formed in 2009, Sandwell Lions Club are a part of Lions Clubs International, the largest service organisation in the world. The club serves the six towns that make up Sandwell.
We run a range of fundraising,welfare and social activities raising funds and providing a service to both the local and international communities.

Message in a Bottle is not solely a Lions initiative, however it is an initiative that very many Lions Clubs across the country have taken to and recognise as a means of fulfilling our motto “We Serve”, often funding the scheme from their own charity accounts.
WaterAid is an international charity dedicated to the provision of domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to some of the world’s poorest people. They work in conjunction with local organisations to set up low cost, sustainable projects that can be managed by the communities themselves.
Since Helen Keller’s call to be “Knights of the Blind” in 1925, Lions have crusaded for sight conservation. Over the last nine years, Lions have sent nearly 48 million pairs of eyeglasses to the official Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers. While this number is impressive, many more millions of glasses lie forgotten in drawers, glove compartments and lost and found boxes in offices, airports and hotels.
